Charlie Graingers World Famous Hot Dogs has a location planned for Winston-Salem.
In its first 10 months of franchising, Charlie Graingers secured commitments for 126 locations, with plans to open 40 in 2016. It was not immediately clear when or where the Winston-Salem location is expected to open, and the contact person for that location did not immediately respond to inquiries.
The Charlie Graingers menu features not just hot dogs, but also beef brisket, pork barbecue, chicken salad and homemade soups and sides.
The restaurant was founded in 2012 by Louis North, and its flagship location is at 702 S. 17th St. in Wilmington. Other locations planned for North Carolina include Charlotte, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham and Greenville, among others.
"When I came to Charlie Graingers for the first time, I was impressed at every level," said CEO Jason Nista. "The restaurant was immaculate, atmosphere inviting, and the food was phenomenal.
"We believe Charlie Graingers will be the next great restaurant brand," he said, "and we look forward to expanding our brand nationwide over the next few years."
